Message for 10 years with high levels of ethanol in the tank, with no problems.
Many people had this same problem free experience by the time I studied this 10 years ago. As far as phase separation, I will agree that low levels of ethanol - 10% is worse than running 20% because lower levels of ethanol cannot absorb as much water before phase separation is an issue. 50% ethanol can absorb much more water than is a reasonable amount to encounter.

Most problems blamed on ethanol are a result of plastics deteriorating. This has been proven to not be the ethanol:

They have been blending gas and ethanol since the model T.
